Criminal Law also works in establishing punishments for various convicted offenders.

What Is Defined To Be A True Crime Then?

The Penal Code does not define what true crime is. It could refer to any act of commission/omission. As opposed to the law, this actively caters to the prejudice of a community. For which a punishment is to be given – as a result of all of the judicial proceedings which are taken under the name of a State. 

Whenever an individual commits a “wrong” they are made liable for it. This form of Criminal liability which only arises when a person commits a criminal act.
