Commercial Litigation Finance

Commercial Litigation Finance

Commercial litigation finance is a type of investment where funders are funded with financial resources to a law firm. Commercial litigation finance is also known as prosecution funding or legal funding. The fund lenders or the inventors take the return from the lawsuit claim if the party wins the case.

Unlike other fund schemes here, lenders receive some portion of money from the total money claim from the monetary recovery.  In case the case is not in favor then borrowers don’t have to pay back any money. There are three types of commercial litigation finance including…

  1. Single-Case Financing:- In single-case financing funders or investors provide resources to a single attribution.
  2. Portfolio Financing:- Portfolio commercial finance is a very interesting way to invest in multiple cases to diversify the portfolio. This type of investment minimizes the risk of losing investment. Here funders can provide funds to both sides.
  3. Multi-Party Financing:- in Multi-party funding the borrower, is a group claims financing or class auction.

This is a legal way of funding. However, it is profitable with lots of risk. In case the borrower loses the case they owe nothing. The best way to invest in commercial litigation finance is to diversify the risk by creating a strong portfolio.
